When I go to Irish Rail website it says the tickets from Enfield to city centre are all sold out, if I turn up in the morning will I be able to travel on the train?

Yes. There is a ticket machine at Enfield and if it isn't working, a checker on the train will sell you a ticket. Irish Rail should really reword that statement on its website.

It should say instead, that it doesn't sell advance online tickets from commuter stations.

    Enfield isn't a commuter station.

You can buy online. The sold out trains you're seeing are trains that have already departed or are due to depart in the next 90 mins. Beyond that tickets from Enfield can be bought online.
