    Hi,

I have recently bought a puppy from over seas, at the time the breeder said they were in the process of sorting out paperwork. We bought the pup but the breeder never registered the her in the end.

So, I called the Irish Kennel club twice and was given two different answers, Can I register the pup in Ireland with both parents registration ?

I have been told yes and no...

Can anyone help on this topic?

Is the pup registered with the kennel club of the country it was born in?

No, if the dog is not registered in the KC of the country of origin it cannot be registered here as I understand it

When we moved to Ireland with our three dogs, I just went to the IKC office with the export pedigrees to my dogs, paid a small amount (it seems 10 euros? I do not remember exactly), and later they sent me new IKC registration numbers. It could be done online too, I think.
If the Kennel Club where you bought the puppy is under FCI or FCI recognized, there will be no problems.

Oh I'm sorry, I missed the point that the breeder do not register your pup. You can try to write to the breed club / kennel club of the country in which you bought the puppy, with a request. Or, as an option, raise the topic in a Facebook breed communities. ;)
