What's the current thinking on residuals for around the yard and on gravel driveways, can anyone suggest?
Simazine/Atrazine would have been the go-to for many years, but are long gone off the market at this stage.
I'm looking for something to mix with glyphosate through a quad sprayer and hand lance.

Hygeia makes one but I forget the name of it.its in white sachets but you need to give it a good mix and put it through the strainer a few times so it won’t clog the lance.you will find it on their web page.its suppose to dose it for a few months through the gravel

    Hytrol?:
    http://www.hygeia.ie/product/hytrol-path-drive-weedkiller

    Looks similar to Weedol Pathclear:
    http://www.thegardenshop.ie/pathclear/

Both contain some flavour of a residual with a dash of glyphosate.

I'm sure they work fine, but I have plenty of glyphosate and am wondering what I can do for a straight residual to mix through it.

That said, I only get through 40-50 litres of mixed spray in the year, so I might be just as well on with the garden centre products :D

Yeah hytrol that’s the one.you need to mix it very well in a bucket as it tends to clump and make sure you put it through the strainer or it will block the lance and melt your head trying to fix it.you could maybe mix it with Gallup which is fairly cheap and you should get a good kill out that will last a while.id say 2 doses of that over the year would get you out of bother
