Hi, I have an Irish Water cover in the back garden of a house I bought. I am looking to build an extension and will need to move the access point. I would also like to locate the water pipes in the garden. Is there a plan I can obtain and also is it possible to get Irish Water access points moved? Regards David

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your message.

In this situation, please contact the Planning Department in your Local Authority in order to ensure that planning permission can be granted in order to complete this extension. This department will consult with our local Water and Wastewater Departments during this process to query if the public wastewater assets can be moved in order to accommodate this extension.

Your local Planning Department should also be able to provide you with localised infrastructure maps of the area.

I hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
    Micheal
