How to obtain a divorce in Ireland when married in Barbados

    Hi.
I am Irish and have been living back here for the last 10 months.
    I was married in Barbados.
I have been separated for 4 years. My husband lives in Spain.
I wish to apply for divorce and understand that I need to have the marriage registered here to do so.
Can anybody give me advice on how I proceed?
There are no dependants. We have a house in Spain that my husband lives in with his girlfriend. He will not allow me access to the house and is looking for me to buy him out at more than the going rate. Alternatively he will not put the house on the market at a price that will sell so he will be able to live in the house indefinitely. I cannot afford to buy him out so the only option is to force him to sell the house so that I can get my share. In order to do this I need a divorce. I could go down a legal route without divorce but that will take years and cost a fortune.
    Hope someone can advise.
    Thanks
