Spalled concrete repair

    Hi

I have a path running around our block built shed. I believe the term is spalled? Concrete is in need of repair and in parts there are stones showing through the concrete.

While repairing this, I also want to make the path around 6 inches wider.

I've never worked with cement before. I saw packs of premixed cement in B&Q where you just add water.

Any tips/guides on how to carry out these jobs? Do I need to break up old path first?
