Cat Skin Issue

    Hi all!

My 9yr old mate cat came in from his wander yesterday afternoon and he had a big lump of hair missing off the back of his neck.

Skin is red too as you can see from the pictures attached. We're going to the vet later, but just wondering if anyone has seen anything like it before?

He suffers from allergies and has been sneezing a lot the last few days (he's been taking Piriton), probably not related but just in case...

Thanks for any help you may have!

    JD

What was the outcome of your cats visit to the vet?? New to cats myself and always hoping to acquire new cat-knowledge!!

As they cannot easily reach that area? I would suspect he has been bitten. Is he neutered by the way?
