    Anybody watch it/planning to?

I was initially skeptical when I heard about it, but the first episode was actually quite interesting. It really got to the heart of a lot of trans issues really quickly.

I actually ended-up - not exactly enjoying it - but, I want to say, invested(?) in it.

I would be interested to get a discussion going on it, here... though the fear on Boards is that it would soon dissolve into blatant transphobia once the usual trolls get wind.

    Ms

I did not get to watch it last night but am watching it now. Am very surprised how some of them especially as they are young had no idea of trans men or women and just thought it was the two genders. From older people ok I would understand but you would think younger people would be more open and used to it especially living in a country like England or even here in Ireland.
They all seem lovely and I think this is a great experience for them all.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

    Oh, dear...

    https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2018/05/08/genderquake-channel-4-boycott-transgender-activists-allies/

Well, this went to **** pretty fast. Guests on the debate panel include Germaine Greer - renowned transphobe and champion of TERFs everywhere, and Caitlyn Jenner.

    Christ. :(

So, after my attempt to be positive about Channel 4's decision to air this show... I am now anything but... As I've said before on here - the existence of transpeople is not up for debate.

    Once again, let down.

Was not at all surprised by any of it. But Tom the young lad from Barnsley who came in with the "a man is a man and a woman is a woman" attitude, came across quite well - and was wiling to listen and be educated.

Marcus and Philomena came across awful.

    But yeah... anyways...

I wanted to like this program, even with my suspicions that a lot of what aired seemed scripted - like one of those cheap reality shows (Made In Chelsea, TOWIE) - but after reading what I just posted above.... Yeah, I think I'm done.

It's gross, that there is gonna be a televised debate on this; on our existence.
