Hot hatch

Always get great advice here as I’m clueless (& unmotivated) re car shopping. Need to change car before NCT in July. Have Audi A3 3 door petrol and been very happy with it. My previous (& first car) was a 3 door 206 so I’m a 3 door fan. I don’t like buying new and prefer petrol. Budget is 25000.

When you say ‘hot hatch’ what do you have in mind?

Do you want a performance car, or just something that looks good?

Then you’re probably looking at something like a Kia Ceed GT line, Focus ST Line (both are models due to be replaced) Seat Leon FR, Golf R Line, A3 S-Line

You’d probably get a good deal on a VW Scirocco, they’re an old model now, but still nice IMO.
