The +x.x is percentage increase on same month last year is it? And figure in brackets is number of additional passengers vs same month last year?

Yes, the figure in brackets is the change in passenger numbers compared to the same 3 months last year

Dublin airport passenger numbers are very impressive. You would have to think this year they could be heading for between 30-32 million. When you factor in the challenges with the UK and brexit it makes the numbers all the more impressive. Dublin currently the 14th busiest airport in the whole of Europe and close to overtaking Moscow.

I think dublin is now the 4th or 5th biggest airport in Europe for transatlantic travel too. Now with direct flights to Beijing and Hong Kong, it will be interesting to see where that leads. Cathay pacific saying that volumes on the new flights is very encouraging. Hopefully the start of more flights to the Far East. It’s fantastic for tourism which is such a huge employer in this country.

Great numbers for Dublin. Overtaking Paris-Orly and Moscow-Domodedovo are both possibilities at some stage now you'd have to assume. Dublin moving to 12th busiest in Europe would be great going.

Long term it really would be in the South/West's best interests to only have one major airport. Cork/Shannon, and to a lesser extent Knock/Kerry, as one combined entity would be far more viable than the 4 are separately.

Only possible as long as both show zero growth or very low growth.

Expect future growth to be single digit growth until 2nd runway is complete as runway slots are fast filling up. Like Heathrow any future growth after that will only be possible with an increase in aircraft size or seats per plane.

So the potential to keep climbing the size ladder slows down from now on until the runway is in service.
