    Hi All,

Sorry I know these threads are done to death and I've read through a few old ones to try get to find inspiration.

Basically it's my first wedding I've been invitied too and I honestly haven't a notion of what to wear!
Like I have no clue on style, length, colours, I'm trying to figure out what the norm is for Weddings from what websites have on their "wedding guest" filter, but this seems to vary dramatically.

I'm hoping to not spend an arm and a leg as I'm not going to really know anyone there, but because of that I'm trying to blend in!

I'm 21, 5ft 6 and pear shaped ranging from 10/12 on top to 14 on bottom
Any advise on what to look for, where to look for it, things to steer clear of would be vastly appreciated as I've only a few weeks until the day!

    Thanks so much in advance

Basically wear a nice dress- not too short/ tight/ low cut and certainly not white or similar colour.
No need for hat or fascinator.
Blazer or shawl may be needed if in church .
Try asos or I clothing for occasion dresses. You should get a nice one for €50.
Try dreses on in shop first to see what shape suits you, then worry about colur etc...
I find plain as opposed to floral dresses look dressier for wedding.
Don't wear ridiculously high shoes as it's a very long day.

Fit and flare type dress will probably suit you best. Something like this is perfectly nice, covered enough so you have to worry about very little else but shoes and bag.

If you are on a budget pick a dress with covered shoulders for a church wedding. A cheap dress for which you have to buy a jacket or a cover for church could cost you more in the end.

Thanks guys, really appreciate having the few pointers here. Atleast I'm more structured now in what I'm looking for because I honestly hadn't a notion!

I hadn't even considered the shoulders/jacket scenario, which I'll definitely try to avoid for convenience sake :)
