Wow, looks insane. We've flown through Faro about 10 times and not one issue. Hopefully a one off as we plan on going again in September.

I fly through Faro a couple of times a year and I never saw it like that video. Saying that though, they can be hit and miss, I had to run from security to the gate in March as the passport machines were playing up. It was really caused by the ground staff for Ryanair being useless. Lesson learned though, I'll get priority boarding for the return leg every time now.

On arrival the most annoying thing is they turn off the e-gates, so if you arrive with a handful of other flights you're just hanging around to get through. Luckily your bag is there for when you get through though.

Flying to Faro for the first time over the summer-just wondering how the priority boarding helps? Just so you don’t have to worry about seats together or some other reason?

It's actually more so you get to check your bag through ahead of the others, that's it really.

They allow all flights check in together so the queue is hefty and they take an absolute age. Folk with priority go to the top of their queue (there's never anyone there) and are served when the next agent is free.

This gives you a nice buffer incase you run into any passport or security delays.

Thanks! Didn’t realise there was a separate queue when checking in bags so that’s good to know!
