    Hi All,

I have an interview at the Central Bank in the next week or so and Im just wondering if anyone out there has been through the process and what I should expect?? What should I study up on and is there anything I should do in preparation??

Also what is it like to work there?? Is it a good place to work and is it easy to progress within the organisation??

    Thanks All

Nice place to work, friendly staff etc. I've been here a few years and find it good.

They will be doing competency based interview so look up STAR format answers, they'll be looking for an example when you had to deal with X

List of the competencies that they will be asking about are here

Make sure you have some questions for your interviewers a the end.

Overall, prep examples of situations and scenarios that you have had and that will form a better basis for your answers given how they tend to ask questions.
Also, depending on the section/role you are applying for look at any releases they put out and familiarise yourself with the outputs from that team, most can be found on their main website.

    Hi conor,

Would you have any insight into the recruitment process for the trainee actuary position advertised? How big is the insurance division and is it well regarded? I notice it was knocked down from a BP3 to a BE position? Any idea how they work the progression/training scheme?

I like the CBI principles and public service mindset touted by the organisation, is that reflected working there or is it a bit 'management speak'?

    Thanks,
