Help in Finding Old Friends

    Good day all.  New member here, and I'm looking for help.  Is there a thread that I can use to help me find a friend from Dublin that I knew 40+ years ago?  No forums seem like an obvious choice, but as I said, I'm new, and I may be overlooking something.  Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.

    I don't think there is a special "Finding lost friends" thread - if there is I've never seen it.

    But over in Genealogy there are many members who are quite experienced at searching in old records and documents; and someone there may be able to give you some advice on where and how to start looking.

    Op - I would recommend looking to see if there is a group on Facebook for the area that you are from - my local area's FB group has a lot of people posting "does anyone remember XXX family living on YYYY road in the 70s?", and getting a fair few responses.
