Commercializing a diesel estate. Possible?

Ive been looking at the possibility of commercializing a diesel estate for a while.
Mainly due to the fact that most car vans are to small for some of the gear i carry. Vans and commercial jeeps would be either not suitable for customer sites or fuel guzzlers.
Looking at Accord tourer, vw volvo etc.
Anyone had any experience with this ?

It was possible. The regulations have tightened up a lot recently as to what can be converted and where it can be converted.

Probably just as easy to get an estate with cheap tax and a flat load floor. No need to convert it then. Or just buy a van.

Aren't the new rules more related to crewcabs. I didn't think much has changed if is a full commercial conversion i.e. no seats behind the driver?
