Lawless for 24 hours- would you ACTUALLY unleash fury?

The movie The Purge had a great concept in that you could completely do whatever you want (murder, rape, robbery etc) for 24 hours with no police action whatsoever. But really, would you actually have the guts to unleash your inner fantasies or would you just spend the day holed up somewhere safe?

Basically, if given a gun and your worst enemy helpless in an alley somewhere, would you have the stones to do it?

In general the vast majority of the population have morals that prevent them from committing crimes, the ones that don't are not concerned with the laws/police force anyway.

I'd like to round up all the members of the hard left and put them on a boat with just a bottle of water between them and push it out to sea.

These threads are eye-opening. I posted elsewhere about circumstances where a person's true nature can be revealed, a lawless country would be one of those circumstances.

It's almost three years since we last had this thread.

I don't behave as I do because it's the law. I do so for moral and ethical reasons and because I like a secure and functioning society. So I'd just lay low for that 24 hours. Plus, I have no enemy I'd wish killed, even if my own moral compass was so poor as to allow me take a life.

I'd sample from the pick 'n' mix before I fill my bag to the point where I'd really only be paying for half.

Their insurance woukd cover it anyway so its essentially victimless, ie the perfect crime.

    Win-win

Would probably just lie low, but with a weapon near by if need be to defend self.

Even though there are the odd person I feel like like punching sometimes, my moral compass, would probably still stop me going around attacking enemies, looting, etc, regardless if the law is there or not.

I`d buy loads of snacks in the shop and them smuggle them in to the cinema, muhaaaa.

No wait, I do that already. Let me try again. I`d rob the snacks from the shop and then sneak them into the cinema, without paying for a cinema ticket and I'd see multiple movies while recording them with my phone. Gosh i`m a badass.

The problem is the premise, the Purge was ****e and had a premise stolen from the most junior level Philosophy - which incidentally we don't seem to teach until university here to the determent of our school system.
