Bumper, Honda, replace, respray

I need to replace front bumper of Honda Civic 2010. I had a small 'bump' and there are several large scrapes and out of alignment.
Looking for advice, am I better off getter a respray or replacing bumper from a scrap yard?

And the usual question, what should I expect to pay?

    Thanks in advance

Assuming yours is the facelifted hatchback model, the bumper itself for the 2010 is the same as the late 2005 onwards bumper, the bottom part (which is different on the facelift model) which is different on the facelift detaches from the rest of the bumper,
If you can get a bumper in the right colour from a scrapyard then it would probably be the cheapest way to do it. Changing the bumper isn’t especially difficult. You may need to get a wheelarch trim too if the clips are damaged. These are different on the facelift.

It really depends on how bad the bumper is and whether it’s salvageable.

Think I've dodged a bullet on this one. My mechanic has just had a look at the car and can get the bumper repaired and resprayed for €350 ... I was expecting to be paying €800 - €2000. He said If I wanted to buy a new bumper that I'd be paying the big money.
