Diy chainsaw bench logger

When processing fallen trees for firewood I throw any straightish 2 or 3 inch down stuff to one side and chop up later on when i've amassed a bit of a pile. I thought about getting one of those small electric tilting bench saws, but they look a bit slow to use and maybe better suited for slightly larger logs. After looking at several days worth of youtube videos of diy solutions to small diameter logging, I built one out of scrap timber, an old g-clamp, a bungee and a tenners worth of nuts and bolts. Seems to work brilliantly on slightly bent guide bar + chain on last sharpening. It has crossed my mind that I could use a cheap chinese saw with dangerous handle/chainbrake issues, because the logger doesn't employ those features.

Wouldn't be my cup of tea. I use the metal ends of 2 chairs. one placed with the legs as normal and the other on top of it upended and duct taped together.

It acts like a 4 finger grab, i put all small short diameter lengths into and then fire up the saw
