Can debt collection enforcers from the uk remove property from the family of a debtor in Ireland. This person has recently returned home and does not own any property in the house although the demand was sent there? Would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Directly no, but they would be able to get the action recognised in Ireland and then it could be followed through on. However I would imagine there would need to be a big debt involved and a good chance of recovery before it would go that far. Probably not going to happen, but then again we don't know the parties involved.

Thank you Jim 2007. Just saw this now. The demand was sent in error as the debt had been long settled.
