So I recently posted on where would be a good place to buy....looking to buy a 2 in 1 for the wife who teaches. She wants touch screen and just needs it really for internet and basic office stuff and will be hauling in and out of school so doesn't want anything fancy. Am interested in a dell or a lenovo yoga 510. The dell has a 7th gen i3 and 4GB ram and i can get it for about 450 euro off Amazon.com including delivery (no customs where I am).....the Lenovo is available locally here and has a similar spec except the i3 is 6th gen i think but can get it for about 380 euro......of note is that I'll probably upgrade the family laptop later so this one doesn't need to be that hot. So the question is, would you go for the i3 6th generation at that price and which I can buy in store or is the better performance of the 7th gen i3 but with the risk of buying on line (if anything went wrong) worth the premium? Thanks!!

If it were me I would want 8GB of RAM and an 8th generation processor... are you based in the States? It would probably be doable.

Thanks for reply.....no not based on the states but based in the middle east until the end of the year. Delivery is about $50 including taxes from what I've checked on amazon. The 6th gen Lenovo that I could have got here locally is gone so that's that with that option.......i'm thinking of taking the plunge with either a dell inspiron 13 2 in 1 7th gen i3 with 4GB ram which works out delivered about 450 euro OR for about $40 more I can get an asus 2 in 1 with 6GB ram and a 7th gen i5. The asus sounds like a good deal except it gets pretty average reviews on amazon which concerns me a bit....would you put much weight on them?
Re your recommendation on spec, yeah I hear you but as I said, i'll be upgrading the family laptop later in the year before I finish up here and will go for something a bit more high end with those kind of specs. This one is a daily beater for the wife to lump in and out of work each day so don't want to go too expensive.....
