Relative is due a free upgrade. Options include the Nokia 7 Plus or Nokia 8.

7 Plus is on the Android One program and just released, also comes with free Google Home Mini.

8 was the original flagship before the Sirocco.

    Which is the better choice?

The Nokia 8 is actually the better phone but I would stay current and get the 7 plus it really is nice..

I'm also currently trying to decide between the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8, both are around the same price but I'm having trouble weighing up the pros and cons to determine which is the better device.

To be honest the camera on the 7 Plus is slightly swaying my decision, as most reviews state that the camera on the 8 isn't all that great. Those reviews were from last year though and I understand that Nokia have released sortware for the camera since then so maybe this has improved things?

Can anyone that owns the Nokia 8 confirm this?

I went with the 7 plus in the end for what it's worth.

How do you find it? It's getting rave reviews but I found it to be huge when I held the in-store demo model.

The 8 does seem to have a far better screen resolution and processer, just the camera let's it down from when I read and seen in online.

    It's a tough decision

Yeah that looks savage, maybe I should hold out and wait for that to be released.

7 Plus is on the Android One program. So guaranteed regular updates for 3 years. I don't game on mobiles, so processor isn't too big an issue for me, it multitasks just fine. 7 Plus has a headphone jack, which is very practical. I prefer the bigger screen even if resolution is worse, not a big deal on phone screens considering how small they're to begin with.

Yeah I saw that video before, but it compares the latest flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco rather then the original Nokia 8 from last year.

Yeah the Android One program is a huge plus point alright. By the way, the Nokia 8 has a headphone jack also, its the Sirocco that hasn't.

Cheers for the advice, I think I'll just go for the Nokia 7 Plus, it seems like a much safer bet.
