Ok, I’ve been up in dublin a lot lately and there seems to be a bit of a chicken wing buzz up there, which I like ;)

Elephant and castle - temple bar (really good)
    The avenue - Maynooth (AMAZING)

Where has the best chicken wings experience in galway ?

    Where’s this place ?

    Dublin lol.

I've had the wings everywhere in galway, portion size best are seven.

    The dail were decent.

    Seven probably the best.

I've had the wings in the Oslo and they were really plain. They don't toss the wings in the hot sauce but give you a portion on the side.

Seven? What was it called last time and is there a max of 2 years before name change on this place? Still a college-age meat market?

Seven is solid, huge portion plus chips for ~€12. They do up a mix of BBQ and hot sauce if you want.

Had them in the Oslo a while ago, eh. They had some beer sauce or something?

The Chilli Shack do a solid chicken wings. Think it's around €7-9 for wings plus chips, great value.

Cellar, meh. Scotty's is a good bet if you're that part of town.

Most places surely use Frank's Hot Sauce so the differentiating factors tend to be the fry and the pricing.

I've had wings at Chili Shack as well and yes they're very decent also. The ones in the Oslo didn't really impress me so much - very plain. Wasn't a huge fan of them in Munroes either - better than Oslo but still a ways off Seven.

Really ? I thought everything after Athlone was dublin. Silly me

Seven for me. Some times they have a special call the ultimate wingman. I'll leave you guessing about what it entails

Quick mention for the Korean wings at Papa Rich. They're not you're standard Frank's hot sauce wings but more sweet and encrusted with nuts.
    Feckin' delicious.

ya creole wings are good. don't believe they use franks and they serve the wings whole.

Seven for the franks hot sauce buzz. Papa Rich for the sweet buzz.

OK, Seven wins the hot sauce category. I'll try it even tho I'm far too old to be in there.

Just a shout out to Sheridan's. They do the twice-fried crunchy wings hot or bbq and it's served with the proper blue cheese dip.

    Here's the old thread.
Last post was over four years ago.

The Cellar Bar, Scotty's, Sheridan's Bar, Creole, and Kelly's (now Seven) were mentioned among others.

KC Blakes pantry (now closed) was the best place, can't find it equal is Galway.
Agree that the wings in Sheridans are tasty

The Oslo in salthill, Creole on Dominic street

Ok I can now confirm that the wings from Sheridan’s bar pass the test... good quality, a good portion size and very tasty.
papa rich in salthill have great wings too but flavour wise completely different... but equally as addictive, that peanut spicy/fruity sauce is quite heavenly especially with the coriander mixed in.

Has to be the burgerstory for me, they've even got a chilli wings challenge so you can eat your food for free ;)

Surprised burgerstory only got one mention, by far the best wings in Galway I think. Sauces that go with them are fantastic, and the saucey sauce is perfect for the people seeking hot ones.
