Hello. If, having purchased a bank draft, the transaction for which the money was intended(e.g. the purchase of a car)does not take place - for whatever reason - will the funds automatically revert to the purchaser's current account and can the draft be torn up?

No, because it’s not drawn on your current account, it’s drawn on the bank. You will need to bring it back into the bank and have them cancel it.

How did this go for you?
I got a draft with my surname incorrect, had to return it and he is having major hassle getting it sorted.
