Parking fine (when ticket displayed)

I recently received a parking ticket on my van, I was shocked as I had a valid pay and display ticket in the drivers window. Due to the shape of the dash on my van I dont put tickets there as they blow and slide away. I have been putting tickets in this place on my side window for years never a problem. The ticket clearly states " please display ticket on dashboard/window) and the last time I checked the thing in my door was called a window.
The warden in question who clearly needs to go to Specsavers was in swords.
Whats the appeals process like ? I am fighting it tooth and nail.

Was it in the footpath side window?
I recently found out that for health and safety reasons, that tickets must be displayed on the footpath side of your car/van.. That's if your parked on rd.

It doesn't say that on the ticket or the sign or the machine where you put your money.

Just send the valid parking ticket for that date and time and the fine back to them (or whatever Fingal request) and it will be cancelled out. If they are anything like DLRCC it will be coupled with a sarcastic response about how you should make sure it is displayed in a clearer fashion in future.
Once you can provide the parking ticket to cover time of fine they'll cancel it.

edit: just googled and see that Apcoa handle parking for Fingal. I'm sure same rules apply as with DLR though.

I’d make copy before sending it to them.

I'd send the copy. The judge will look for the original.

I know its a bit late to suggest it, but get the parking app / park by text, whichever suits you best, then no more messing around with tickets and all that nonsense in future.
But same as you, I used to always put them in the driver's door window as well, clear as day to see. Warden was being an ass about it, looking to top up his commission I'd say.

Just don't do it while you are parked because in the 5 -10 minutes (depending on information provided on the ticket machines about locations etc) it takes you to install the app and buy parking you will most likely have received a ticket. Appealing will not work as you did not have a valid parking tag displayed at the time of the ticket. Ah, the joys of 'computer says no...!'

If you have the system on your phone already it only takes a minute to pay for your parking once you know which parking zone you are in. You get a warning text 10 mins before your payment expires and you can top it up for extra time if you require.
Since I started using it a few years ago I've never gotten a ticket or a clamp, no running back to the machine to get another ticket or worrying if its correctly visible.
Its can be different if you are in a private car park, but for street parking its a total no-brainer.

It is now. But just saying set it up before you leave the car is all... it is very handy though once setup
