I may be covering a maternity leave for 3rd/4th soon and might have enough days to to first part of Hdip. Anyone have a Hdip planning folder for sale or anything? When you did yours did you do all the planning folder youself or get someone else's? It seems so much work. Is the folder as bad as the TP folder with schemes, lesson notes etc?

Would be pretty impossible to copy someone else's folder due to different whole school plans for curricular subjects, different abilities and needs in a class, different text books etc.
It's also best practice to plan yourself as you in know the class and their needs better than anyone.
Yes it's a lot of work and a pain but once your dipped you can do plans your own way to suit yourself and they don't need to be so detailed.

Your inspector will know straight off if the folder isn't one you have created to suit your particular class. Yes, it's a lot of work, but needs to be done.

It's not called a HDip. It's not a higher diploma. It is sometimes colloquially referred to as 'the dip' for reasons unbeknownst to me. It's more accurately called probation.

As others have said, do your own planning. You'll learn better and develop better as a teacher that way. I hate the idea of teachers selling their plans, it stinks of unprofessionalism.

Plans don't have to be so detailed when you're probated?? You've got to be kidding me? I'm doing more paperwork now than I did in 2008 when I did my Dip.
