Split in kitchen counter - fixable?

Something fell on the kitchen counter and caused an approximate 1½ split in the laminate. It’s raised and I’m concerned that it’ll let water in and the whole surface will lift. Is there any way of fixing it?

You could glue it down with gorilla glue, but it won't look great

if you shove the sides down will there be a gap

Stick it down with 2 part epoxy glue such as Araldite, it will leave any gaps left waterproof , put a piece paper under whatever you weigh it down with and leave for 24 hours
