    Initial observations by The Verge

"This is the least inspiring, least daring G-series phone that LG has released in a long time, maybe ever."

I think it's a lovely phone (I like the notch's trend on phones these days) with a decent spec. I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Makes the LG V30 look like great value if you can find it going cheap anywhere

3000Mah Battery is a bit puny.

Depends a lot these days, smaller capacities can go a lot further than they used to.

That's true, but it always comes back to the argument that if you can get decent battery life out of 3000mAh, imagine what could be done with 4000mAh.

Fighting the urge to. Looks great. Trying to have patience to wait for the pixel 3 though. I know I'll only be pissed off at the inevitable delay upgrading to Android p if i go for this.

Ok got it early so had a full day yesterday with it. It's an extremely solid phone. There's nothing really I can pick out as weaknesses but if you have any phone from this year, the P20 Pro etc, there's no compelling reason to switch either.

I got it because even though the U11 is excellent I wanted to switch to a different form factor: 18:9 screen(actually 19.5:9 or close to), rear fingerprint sensor and on screen nav buttons and I was sorry I got rid of my G5 last year.

The screen is perfect, thankfully no light bleed that's been reported. Camera is pretty good but a bit slow to open and focus right now, there's an update coming apparently. Sound is excellent with the hifi dac.

Im not knocked off my feet by it because I'm coming from another solid recent phone but sure what device really would amaze these days anyway.
