Advice on switching Current Account from PTSB to EBS

Just was checking my PTSB open24 account. Saw a transaction of Euro 18 as quarterly fee. When I called PTSB I was told that the fee was increased from 12 to 18 in Oct 2017. I was told that if I lodge 1500 every month there wont be any charges. Was not working last one month. But should be fine next month onwards as I would be back working again.

What about switching current account from PTSB to EBS as EBS doesnt charge any fee at all. Can anyone please share your experience with EBS like their customer service etc? Any drawbacks with EBS?

How is EBS customer support?

It is very easy to meet the 1,500 EUR requirement. Even if you are not working, you can wire money in-and-out of your current account so the sum of 1,500 is met in total.

The EBS account is very basic.
