Their website is still up, have you got a link to that?

Shame for the workers if true. North Wicklow will still be ok with Toyota Sandyford and Carroll and Kinsella Blackrock, both only 15-20 mins away. South Wicklow hasn't had a Toyota dealer for almost 10 years but Boggans in Gorey is as handy.

No link but only a couple of cars on the lot and closing down sign in window.

Times are tough out there at the moment. Not the first main dealer to go this year and probably won be the last either.

Possible they got a decent offer for the land and decided to just get out while they still can?

I know sales are down but thought things were still going well judging by the amount of car transporters in and out of ringaskiddy anyway.

Toyota were overly demanding going forward, looking for a large investment on a shiny new showroom. Plus Current site is worth a fortune to develop non motor use and sole owner is just - few years shy of retirement age , a no brainier really to pull in the horns, especially with Toyota Ireland being run by a corporate non motor head, he's ran the best dealers out country wide .

A lot of long standing Toyota dealers fecked off a few years ago. Toyota Ireland are a bit unrealistic in what they expect from their dealers.
