BE Licence query

    My understanding is that if you passed your test before a certain date you are entitled to the BE stamp rather than standard B.

    Does anyone know when this was, seems it was 1997 in the U.K., but I think it was before that here ??

    AFAIK if you don't have it on your licence, that means you don't have it.

    I reasonably sure there was a cutoff date where before that date you can apply to have it added.

    Nearly certain its 1989.

    There was a period open to all who had their first license before November 1989 (EU law change date) to automatically be upgrade to BE, but that window closed a few years ago, aimed mostly at farmers thanks to farming lobbyists.

    To be fair tis not hard passed anyway Brian. My advice would be to do a leson or two to learn the test routes and also to get your bad habits pointed out so you can cure them.
