Hi . I have been given planning permission for a ground floor commercial premises. However it appears part of this area was originally given permission as a garage for appartments above. The previous tenant was also given permission for same footprint . Landlord now says he needs to get retention permission to protect future provenance. Surely if planning authority has twice given permission for same footprint for two different businesses we should be able to proceed with leasing it? Very confused and desperate to move our business into the new premises. Anyone got any ideas ?
