    Hi all
I'm looking to make some build in wardrobes to fill a wall 3.4m long. I can get the panels no problem to start from scratch but I was thinking it might be easier to get flat pack or prebuilt carcasses and just customise them to my liking etc. Might not need the doors thinking of getting sliderobe doors. Were is the best place to look

    I'm based in Dublin.
    Thanks

Interested in this at the moment myself.

    Re Ikea...
Can you get the ikea PAX wardrobes to fit into an alcove of a non standard width? e..g say my opening is 1770.... I only see 150cm and 200cm widths on the web site...
Have I missed a bit where you can make them fully customisable?

Or has anyone any clever ways of filling up the empty space in an alcove.

    Cheers

Not customisable from IKEA. You would have to dress them perhaps with architrave on each side to fill space or make a narrow cupboard for shoes / ironing board etc.. The world is your lobster

I was in the same boat about 10 years ago and was able to design my own robe carcass to fit the space in a large bedroom and have it made to measure in B&Q. I also bought the sliding mirrored doors and the rails there.

I did a lot of shopping around beforehand and remember at the time it was a massive saving on what it would cost to have them made and fitted by a specialist company, they were very good quality.

I got PAX sliding wardrobes from IKEA a couple of months ago also and I've found them excellent and a 10 yr warranty with them.
You can try the paneling centre who have pre built carcasses/doors but it was costing more in the long run.
