Buying from US only site

    Hi Guys,

I'm trying to buy some posters off a site that only ships to the US and will only accept a US credit/debit card. I'll be sending them to my brother so I don't need the likes of address pal or anything.

I'd also not like to have to ask my brother to use his card because the posters are supposed to be a gift.

Can anyone recommend a way to accomplish this?

    Thanks.

Edit: I should have mentioned my brother lives in the US. But I don't want him to know that I'm getting him these posters.

Try some companies that forward to Ireland from the US like shipito.com and myus.com

You might need to pay some customs charges when they arrive in Ireland, the charge is calculated on the total value of the item and Shipping charges, you can check New Import Duty/VAT Thread sticky thread at the top of the Online Buying & Auctions there you also have how to calculate it.

Your issue is the card number which will identify that your card is based in Ireland. Even a revolut card won't help you here (UK). You need to get your hands on either a virtual card - not sure how easy or a prepaid debit card - could you ask your brother to get one for you? Maybe say you need it for a US itunes account or something?

I believe the An Post PostFX prepaid cards let you set 'temporary' (read: fake basically) addresses on them. They do a dollar denominated one.

Oh really? I actually have one with some money left on it. Do you know how to get the temporary address?
