I know this is probably a VERY long shot, but just thought I'd give it a go.

I'm looking for a lift to west Donegal (near Dungloe) from west Dublin on either May 28 or 29 for myself, my (big!) Labrador and some luggage (around 4 biggish bags).

The Labrador is a friendly fella, but a bit giddy and nervous, so I would need to have him beside me (eg in the back seat of a car) to keep an eye on him, rather than him being in, say, the back of a van.

If anyone out there is interested in this 'fare' could you let me know what you'd charge?

    Thanks a million!

I cannot drive you but have put out a notice through work and also on various Facebook pages.

Best to check with people locally in Dungloe who may know someone driving up on that day. So assuming you have contacts there, get them to ask in the local pubs and put a couple of notices up.

Another option is to check with Irish rail if you can take a train to Sligo and then see if there's a more local bus service or someone one that can take you from Sligo to say Donegal town and then a further pick up from there to Dungloe

Throw on a pair of sunglasses and get a tapping stick and pretend you are blind so you can use public transport.just remember to tap the stick off stuff and keep the dog on a tight leash so it looks legit
