I was emailed by an post about a failed attempt to deliver a parcel of mines yesterday (Saturday), but no notice was left by the postman and I didn't even know an post delivered on a Saturday?

Anyway they said in the email to pick up the parcel at the depot as per the instruction on the notice?! But obviously that is impossible because no notice was left! What should I do?

Will I not need the usual notice the postman should leave if no one is home in order to get it?

I've collected without it before. You need id, and you have the email. If the depot is not out of the way there's no harm calling in.

Any idea why the postman wouldn't have left the notice? I didn't even know they delivered on a Saturday?

i'm sure someone will come along and say that the postman was lazy and never tried to deliver it.

You dont't need a docket to collect only identification.

If it's a Saturday delivery it will be from Amazon or one of the bigger companies and they are not allowed to leave a docket. Delivery will be attempted again on Monday

It was something I ordered off eBay. Thought it could have been a glitch because the email was automated and no delivery notice was put through the letter box and I didn't know they done some Saturday deliveries

Which is probably the case, though AP fans on here will vehemently deny.

My DU doesnt re-attempt them, just stores for collection. Customer care says they should be re-attempting but are yet to do so.

This is the case as the parcels are all prism items, they are supposed to ring you if there is a number on provided on your item.

There is no note left for collection until the week days.
