Gbh 24v drill charger

Hi,
Chargers not working. Battery is grand. Internal fuse was blown. I bypassed it and stuck a 3amp fuse in the plug top. It popped immediately when I plugged it in unloaded. No obvious signs of component damage on the bread board. Anyone have any notion where I can get a schematic? Ill chance sending bosch a mail tomorrow. Any tips appreciated!

I had a similar problem 2yrs ago with mine. Wouldn't bother trying to fix it.

Thats it exactly, I want to take a stab at a fix before buying a new charger. Schematic would help alot.

Wear eye protection when you're working on it - bits can fail with a bit of drama

The capacitor(s) might hold charge for a long time after plugging it out
(there is one or more across the rectified mains, might kill you )

- make a tool to discharge it/them before you go at it ( nothing fancy - two 240v 10w bulbs in series)

Anyway - maybe little fets had enough

Cant see any signs of scorching on the circ board. Some of the chips are hard to read. Its like they're painted in something clear that makes them impossible to read. Maybe its heat but I dont know. Might just fork out for a new one. Debugging this will be too much time. Bosch power tools america refused to give me any advice and pawned me off on a uk dept with a number. Bunch O *****!
