Replacing line from gas cylinder to hob

    Hello

We bought a house last year (old). There is a small little shed around the back with houses gas cylinders that is piped from that shed under decking and into the kitchen to the hob. There is no gas connection on our road. I am presuming this as cant see anything other than a rubber gas pipe going out of the shed. It is about 14 foot from the shed to the back of the house.

We are going having the decking ripped up as it’s old and rotting. We are going replacing it with a flag stone patio. I think this is an opportune time to replace the gas pipe as the rubber bit in the shed looks kinda old. There was a load of bad DIY done on the house and it wouldn’t surprise me if the former owner did the work himself!

Who would do this, a plumber? I presume we’d need to get the decking up, plumber or whoever do their work so would have to tie in with the landscaper? Any idea how much we’d be taking to have that done? Thanks v much in advance :-)

LPG and rubber hoses don’t get on and the hoses must be replaced after 5 years past the time stamp on the hose or leaks can occur so your right to have it changed, the changes must meet with the law of the land so the best person to talk to is your local RGI Calor is worth a ring also because the Calor engineers tend to be on top of their game and would do a good job.

Get a couple of quotes to give yourself an idea of costs.
