So I see there is a large scale artwork project going on at both of these roundabouts for the last few months.
I've been told there will be airplane sculptures on the Airport Roundabout, not sure about the Halfway project.
Does anyone have any information on these works? I can kind of understand a piece of artwork at the Airport Roundabout, but Halfway?? There's a footpath around the outside of that roundabout that is entirely overgrown for years, who is going to maintain a fancy sculpture and where is the funding coming from?
At a time when there are multiple accidents on the roads every day of the week, could this money not be better spent?
