Accounting and Finance degree

    Hey.
I'm going back as a mature student this September to do accounting and finance! I wasn't the best at business and maths in school (eek) but I think its because I was a very unfocused student and didn't care much about learning back then. I've recently done the level 5 bookkeeping and payroll and I flew through them and really enjoyed them, so applied for the degree. I've been looking up as much about it as I can to get a feel for what's involved and i think I can do it. But this is my last chance for college and I don't want to mess it up and do the wrong thing, So could someone please give me a general idea of the difficulty level of the degree, in particular with the maths? Or point me in the direction of a website where I could see a sample of it? The course is in LIT if that makes any odds. Thanks :)

First - well done on taking on any degree as a mature student - that's a credit to you no matter what.

I have never found the maths in Accountancy to be mind blowing. Its nothing like the type of maths you would do in Engineering for example. If you enjoyed book-keeping and payroll, I think you are on the right track.

    Good luck
