Nest and my plumbing setup

    Hi,
Just looking for a bit of advice. In our house we have a simple oil timer which does schedules etc. Beside this, separate, we have two standard wall switches. One switch up downstairs heat, the other for upstairs, both off would just be hot water.

I'm just wondering if Nest would be able to be setup to control upstairs/downstairs or what would need to change in order for that to happen?

    Cheers!

Put one in for a lad who had a 3 zone programmer. What you prob need to do is fit a zone valve on hot water cylinder. How I connected his up was fitted nest in location of downstairs stat, and left upstairs stat in situ then wired two heating zones together and upstairs stat shut off when warm to stop rooms overheating. Otherwise you need two nests.
