Nissan Almera 2002 dashboard lights

    I was looking at an Almera 2002 this evening thats going for an NCT tomorrow.The illimunation lights on the dashboard are not working.I mean the ones that light up the dash.Indicators,warning lights etc are all working.I took out the dash and the three bulbs are ok.Does any one know if there is a fuse that controls those lights or what the problem might be.Any advice would be appreciated.

    ISnt there a dimmer switch for these? Does the illumination for the radio/fan work?

    It’s not an nct requirement either way.

    Im not sure about dimmer switch as the car is not here now.Speedometer lighting not working is an Nct fail.Im told it failed on this before but id say it was a bulb as one of the bulb holders is a different colour.

    Oops, you are correct re the NCT.

    Does it have an aftermarket radio?

    They owner just rang me to say it started working again.Lets hope it stays that way till 7 o clock tomorrow evening

    Sounds like you possibly have a loose or frayed wire somewhere.
