    Hiya.

Due to an expanding family Mrs is thinking of selling her car and getting something bigger and we are looking for an idea of what her car is worth.

It's a 161 Golf Tsi 1.2l, approx 18k km on it, mint condition, has all the bells and whistles - sensors, sat nav, reversing cameras etc, fsh.

    Cheers!

Has it a fvwsh? Colour? Is it a highline?

Just another thing, the ideal scenario is that she disposes of this car and gets a car in place of it, more of a swap deal with a garage as opposed to a private sale. Obviously selling privately will give it more worth but then you have the hassle of dealing with the sale and potentially being left without a car for a while which is simply not an option. She recently cleared the loan on it so it is owned by her outright.

Hnestly I'd say it will be a challenge to sell it privately for the price she wants. Who is going to spend that much on a private sale with no come back.

We want to avoid a private sale.

Shop all the dealers. There’s always one that will make a mistake!

    Opps I misread it.

I can't really see how you'd be better off after this deal as there is nothing in it for a dealer unless they are getting rid of something undesirable.

Right. I thought it might be a bit if a difficult one, certainly to get value for the car that is on parity with what it's worth.
