    Hi folks

Just wondering, traveling to the states in May and just wondering if any difference between united and aerlingus business class,

    Flying Dublin to Newark..

Is one more or less the same as the other or is there generally a preferred carrier?

Dunno about United but Aer Lingus Business class is half way between First and Business class in my experience. Wifi/good food/ great seat that turns into a bed.

Thanks, had a look at the united 777-200 seating plan and it looks poor, i understand they are in the middle of a revamp but those old seats and the layout etc, rear facing seats. Poor.

I think ill be taking aerlingus for the seat layout if anything.

EI's business product beats that of United, the inverse being the case down the back IMO.

3K & 5K tend to be sought after by those travelling solo on Aer Lingus - single seat with console on both sides.

If prices and timings were similar, I'd go with Aer Lingus. While aircraft can change at any time I would avoid the 757 which United have used on the EWR route.

Check your flight and plane on seatguru.com Sunday some of the United planes are near end of life and the business class is awful. Aer lingus have good business class seats but poor lounge facilities
