Bathroom extractor fan

    I’m going to be installing an inline extractor fan next week in the bathroom (I’m not doing the electrical work I’ll leave that to the professional people).Its a two story semi d so fan is going in the attic so it will be vented out trough the soffit,couple of years ago we got house insulated and they put vents in the soffits can I use one of them for the vent, the only problem I think I can see is I think the vents are only a 3 inch vent

    No. Soffit vents are for venting in, not out.

    If you dump warm moist air into a flow of cold air you get condensation. Do you want to be sucking condensing water vapour into a flow designed to ventilate (and keep dry) your wooden rafters?
