    Hi there,

If someone avails of the Bank of Ireland 2% cashback offer but is in a position to repay in four years (e.g. inheritance or other windfall), do they have to pay back the 2% cash?

    Hi Ixelles,

thanks for your post here on Boards.

This would be decided on a case by case basis at the time of repayment. If you feel you may be in this situation in the near future, we'd recommend contacting your mortgage advisor. They'd be happy to help with this.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

    Thanks again,
    Jane.

    Thanks Jane,

I thought there might have been a clear-cut legal position, based on reading other threads on Boards.ie.
Appreciate the reply all the same.
