Are you considered to be 'signed off' if you just simply stop collecting the payments and don't go for 'signing' anymore?

Not 100% sure but when my husband was on job seekers, he just had to ring them to say he'd gotten a job and when his start date was. He didn't have to go down to the office or anything.

You can do it very simply online on welfare.ie.

The online option is the handiest I'd expect but only if you have a myGovID
