Notifications Delay

Has anyone noticed on the Samsung Galaxy s8, since the most recent update, if you get an app notification, there is a long delay after you tap on it and the app opens? This can be a very long day 20 seconds at times. If you open the app from it's icon on the display it opens at usual speed. Any ideas/Solutions?
