    When you sign on for unemployment benefit do they come and visit you at home ?

    Jobseekers Benefit no - because if you're entitled to it you get it, regardless of means.

    Jobsekers Allowance possibly (although unlikely) - because they'll need to check out your means before paying you.

    If youre entitled to JSB its because you have paid enough PRSI so it doesn’t matter how much other income you have, your going to get it anyway.
    If you haven’t paid enough PRSI then you are applying for JSA. So your saying “ I don’t have enough money to live week to week while I’m looking for a job”.
    So the inspector might decide to come to see you at home to check out if what your claiming is true.
