Irish Rugby pull off a PR coup, after all the recent bad news.

Among other criteria, the successful candidate would have to have a Masters or a PhD, a record of published research, experience in building neural network models and working with databases and a verifiable record of delivering sport science support for a high-performance professional rugby team.

The salary for the six-month, 40-hour a week position was zero.

The IRFU must be short of a few bob, are they? It's an absolute disgrace that organisations can advertise a "job" like that.

Probably only because they got caught out over it. If they thought they could have gotten away with it I'd say they would have left it up.

That's a reflection of the regard organisations have for people who are qualified in sports science. Shows us results and we will forget about you.

They said the IRFU have no unpaid internships and this was an error. Maybe a wage wasn’t decided upon so they left it blank.

Until you show me more evidence or someone digs up proof that they have a history of this kind of thing, then I’d be prepared to believe this was a mistake.

Such fúcking notions. I suppose they want the cafeteria attendant to have a Michelin star too and to do the work for 'exposure'.

    ^^^^^^

    Naïve to believe that.

The advertisement was withdrawn. Surely if they were looking for someone they would have edited and re-advertised with a salary attached?

Another PR coup for the rugger buggers.

The lads in Croke Park must be laughing into their bacon and cabbage.

And John Delaney is probably licking a window in his ignorance.

I’d say if he tried to, he’d miss.

Jaysus the new outhalf for Ulster must be going to cost more than they thought or maybe it was Jackson's redundancy that has them scrimping.

You sir/madam are a scribe of the highest order. :D

The lads in Croke Park would get someone to volunteer to do it for nothing like all the managers, coaches, strength and fitness guys, and phyisos that do it out of the goodness of their heart and the love of the games. ;)

I am not allowed discuss …

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer
