24v power supply

    Stupid question time. If i have a power a supply to rated to be outputting 24 volts, should it be a constant output or should it be fluctuating? It's for a husqvarna automower if that makes a difference. Thanks for any info

    Can you post image of power supply specification plate.
    Googling 24v and Husqvarna does not come back with much.

    Is it a 24V battery charger? It may be waiting to detect the battery connected (correct polarity etc...) before it starts to output any power.

    Constant voltage ought to output constant voltage with variable current.
    Constant current ought to output constant current with variable voltage.

    Battery chargers are not power supplies although sophisticated ones can be.
